Installation methods for system windows and doors fall into two categories: Dry-Installation and Wet-Installation.
When it comes to replacing windows and doors in homes, many individuals lack familiarity with the installation and disassembly processes. Consequently, ensuring the quality of installation has become a crucial concern for users to grasp.
Throughout the installation process and beyond, aside from monitoring surface quality, careful attention must be given to the procedures followed by workers, the selection of valid aluminum window profiles, and the avoidance of faulty materials that could compromise durability post-installation.
During the uninstallation process, the framing, stable connection, sealing, and final inspection of aluminum window extrusions and doors are paramount. These steps directly impact the quality and longevity of the windows and doors.
Framing stands out as a critical stage in the installation process as it determines both the appearance and performance of the windows. Frame coordinates should be aligned based on pre-existing holes in the windows and doors, followed by the insertion of the frame into the designated coordinates.
Dry-Installation and Wet-Installation
Installation methods for system windows and doors fall into two categories: Dry-Installation and Wet-Installation. The fitting of frames onto the wall differs between these methods:
1.Dry-Installation:
In Dry-Installation, metal frames are installed before wall painting, while aluminum window frame extrusion occurs after wall painting. Key requirements for metal frame installation include:
(1) Ensuring the width of the metal frame and window side frame is at least 30mm.
(2) Using appropriate fasteners to connect holes in the metal frames to the walls.
(3) Maintaining gaps between metal frame fasteners and angles of less than 150mm, with a maximum gap of 500mm between two fasteners.
2.Wet-Installation:
With Wet-Installation, system windows and doors frames are installed before wall painting, and fasteners are used to secure them. Requirements for Wet-Installation mirror those of Dry-Installation, including:
(1) Ensuring gaps between system window doors frames and fasteners are no more than 150mm, with a maximum gap of 500mm between two fasteners.
When connecting fasteners to system window door slots, options include self-tapping screws or POP Self-Plugging Rivets. Following installation, the walls surrounding the windows should receive preservative treatment using preservative paints or plastic films.
