Aluminum stands out as a remarkably cost-effective and versatile metal, renowned for its practicality across various industries. Its production involves the addition of other metallic elements and heat treatment to refine its chemical composition. Both transformation and casting processes contribute to aluminum manufacturing, with extrusion being a prominent method. Extrusion entails the shaping of aluminum through molds designed based on the desired profile intersections. This process involves passing pre-heated aluminum alloy bars through the extrusion machine.

Aluminum alloys are categorized into eight distinct series, each denoted by an international series number:

1XXX signifies aluminum with 99% purity, such as 1050. 2XXX represents aluminum-copper alloys, like 2014. 3XXX denotes aluminum-manganese alloys, e.g., 3003. 4XXX signifies aluminum-chromium alloys, for example, 4032. 5XXX represents aluminum-magnesium alloys, such as 5052. 6XXX denotes aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloys, like 6063. 7XXX stands for aluminum-zinc alloys, e.g., 7001.

These series range from the relatively soft 1XXX series with pure aluminum to the robust 7XXX series of aluminum-zinc alloys. Each series varies in composition, heat treatment processes, and manufacturing forms, leading to differences in their anodizing characteristics.

The 6000 series, also known as aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloys, boasts corrosion resistance, considerable hardness, and uniformity achieved through careful heat treatment. Widely recognized in the market, this series is particularly favored in construction applications utilizing aluminum profiles. Within the 6000 series, different models cater to various needs:

1.6005 profiles find utility in ladders, antennas, and signal projectors.

2.6009 is suitable for vehicle outer shells.

3.6061 is utilized for diverse applications such as battery covers, semiconductor and aviation spare parts, valves, vehicles, furniture, and precise manufacturing components like tubes, bars, and pallets.

4.6063 is favored in construction, vehicle manufacturing, frames, furniture, fences, and grips.

5.6066 is ideal for forging and welding components.

6.6068 finds application in refrigerator cargo pallets, truck and ship spare parts, and railway carriages.

7.6070 caters to heavy welding and vehicle extrusion profiles.

8.6082 is utilized in airplane landing gear, precise ship spare parts, construction, cycling, vehicles, optical instruments, railways, and valves.

9.6101 serves in heat sinks for bus applications, conductors, and wires.

10.6106 is valued for corrosion-resistant profiles, bars, and tunnel profiles.

11.6151 offers excellent forging performance, hardness, and corrosion resistance, suitable for crankshafts, mechanical spare parts, and ring-rolling.

6201 is employed in high-voltage conductor bars and wires.

6205 is chosen for thick pallets and extrusion profiles that withstand high-pressure impacts.

6262 is utilized for cool process tube, bar, and wire profiles for specific high compression stress spare parts.
