On August 31, the final report of Dr. Li Chengbo was held at Xingfa Aluminium’s postdoctoral research station. The leaders and experts of Xingfa Aluminium, including Wu Xikun, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of Xingfa, Luo Mingqiang, Director of the Technology Center, Dr. Wang Shuncheng, Senior Expert, and Dr. Hou Longgang, Technical Expert, among others, participated in the event.
During the report, Dr. Li presented his research on the topic “Study on Shape/Properties Synergistic Regulation of High Strength and Toughness 7xxx Aluminum Profiles for Automobiles”. He elaborated in detail on the background and market for lightweight aluminum alloys for new energy vehicles, systematically interpreted the thermal deformation of aluminum alloys, deeply analyzed how extrusion simulation and the extrusion process influence the structure and properties of the 7005 alloy, explained the quenching sensitivity of 7005, and discussed how aging affects its structure and properties.
The experts listened carefully to Dr. Li’s presentation and provided professional guidance and suggestions for his research. After expert discussions, they unanimously agreed that his report was based on sound theoretical foundations and reliable data. Dr. Li completed his research plan and work at the station, passed the assessment with excellent results, and was approved to leave the postdoctoral station.
Wu Xikun, Deputy General Manager, stated that Dr. Li’s research has significant value for the practical applications at Xingfa. He hoped technical talents could draw ideas from the report about key tasks and the company’s business development needs.
